Thanksgiving

I am thankful that my mother taught me to cook.  No matter where life takes us, all the comforts of home come with because of the skills she saw fit to set me up with.  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, it was smaller than I would have liked, but it was more than we could eat, and really more than the kitchen could hold.  There is nothing like a room overflowing with food.  :-)

I am thankful for time and the talent of others.  We launched our website last night.  It is good to have it back.  There is still much work to be done, but it is a wonderful feeling to have it up.  I am so thankful for all the efforts and concerns that have gone into getting it where its at.  We couldn't have done it alone.

I am thankful for friends.  Even though some we have not seen in years, they remember us still and make the effort to wish us well on the holidays.  Its always good to know, that no matter where or how frequently we move, there are people across the nation who will remember and care.

I am thankful that the Lord has seen fit to continual provide for us.  We are very blessed.

House Pics

Here are a few house pics, just to show the more memorable features of our current place of residence.

This is my little crystal window by the front door.

This is Fuzzy in the kitchen doorway, always in the middle of things.

This is the ever useful upstairs, part-time guest room, full-time storage.

My spacious kitchen, this is most of the kitchen.  There are only a few small cabinets around the stove.

This is what happens when cabinets don't fit in the basement, but at least I have room to put my dishes.  So far I haven't needed a coat at the back door just to get the dishes.
This lovely storage shelf is actually the fridge alcove.  The landlord has promised to insulate around it some.  Some people are a little to creative.
Our favorite little bathroom in the basement.

Notice the step up to the throne.

And to the shower.

The lovely bathroom ceiling, which continues into the shower as well.

Our favorite window, but it is why we are getting new windows, and it is only caulked on one side.
